Client Etiquette

We ask that you please aim to arrive 5-10 minutes early for your appointment. We are very efficient at what we do and only allow a certain amount of time for each treatment. If you are running late, please phone ahead, even if it is only 5 minutes. We are a busy salon and will always accommodate our clients to the best of our ability. It is important to us to be able to provide quality treatment to all our clients, and if you are running late, it makes it very difficult for us to do this. We appreciate your understanding if the appointment needs to be rescheduled so that we can provide you with a quality treatment.

Please become familiar with our salon policies. We are implementing these to ensure the smooth running of our salon. You have booked our time, and our time is valuable. 


Covid-19 Policy

Please do not attend Urban Wax & Beauty and/or your appointment if:

  • If you have tested positive for Covid-19
  • If you have been to a Covid hot spot in the past 2 weeks
  • You have been in close contact with someone who has tested positive to Covid
  • If you are showing symptoms such as a fever, cough, difficulty breathing, runny nose or sore throat. 

Please phone us, and we will be happy to reschedule/book your appointment for you once you have recovered. Thank you for your understanding. 


No Show Policy

If you miss your appointment, it will be flagged as a no-show. A no-show fee of 30% of the total treatment price will be incurred and charged to your account. If you fail to attend your appointment 3 or more times, a deposit may be required for future appointments. If you have booked an appointment that you haven't confirmed and you are a no-show, it will still be considered a no-show.

Cancelation Policy


If you wish to cancel, reschedule, or alter your appointment, we ask that you give us at least 24 hours' notice. This includes changing the type of treatment or the amount of treatments you're having. Doing so within 24 hours prior to your appointment will incur a 30% fee of the total treatment price.


Confirmation Policy

We will send you an appointment reminder via Fresha, our online booking system, 24 hours prior to your appointment. It is a requirement that you enter and store your card details securely through Fresha-pay to confirm your booking.

Fresha-pay is facilitated by Adyen, which is a secure, global online payment platform. Fresha itself is PCI (Payment Card Industry) compliant, as required by Australian law. Other companies such as Uber, Spotify, McDonald's, Etsy, and booking.com also use this payment platform.

This is a requirement of Urban Wax & Beauty to help reduce no-shows and late cancellations. Also, if you happen to forget your card on the day of your appointment, we will be able to take payment using your stored card details- easy. 

If your appointment has not been confirmed the day prior, we will give you a courtesy call to confirm.

If your appointment has not been confirmed by the morning of your booking, we will (where possible) replace it with another appointment. We have a high volume of clients wanting appointments who are left disappointed when we cannot fit them in. 


Under 18 Policy

Anyone under the age of 18 wishing to have a treatment is required to have parental consent. Intimate waxing, such as Brazilians, however, can only be carried out on persons 18 and over. We require the parent to come into the salon to fill out our parental consent form; if needed, this can be done prior to your treatment day. The parent needs to state which treatments the child can and/or can't have.
